Fast Food Restaurant Fires: Strategy and Tactics Sheboygan, WI

A one day program: March 30, 2019!
Fast food restaurants. They are everywhere. Millions of people patronize them daily. Sometimes they burn.
Often these structures are made of lightweight building materials and can have heavy loads on the roof top.
While some blazes occur during the height of normal business hours, more often, fire seems to happen at the end of work shift or even after hours. The program includes a reviews of common building construction features and line of duty death incidents at fast food restaurant fires. Suggested operating guidelines will be shared and discussed. In- classroom fire simulation exercises are a part of this program. The program is applicable from rookie to the command officer!
Refreshments and a lunch will be provided the day of the class. We will be raffling off a tool the day of the class. Every fire department in attendance will be entered for a chance to win. The winner will be announced at the end of the class.

Lead Instructor: Captain Chris Kelly Houston Fire Department
Chris is a veteran of the fire service since 2002. Chris currently is a Captain in the Houston Fire Department, currently assigned to Engine 55 in District 46. Majority of his career has been spent in District 46, both as a firefighter and Engineer/Operator on both Engine and Ladder companies.
