About the program
Every fire department deals with staffing issues. Safety of your personnel is paramount.  Fires don’t care about the number of firefighters you bring to an incident.

However, staffing does effect the delivery of service and the safety of the operation.

This classroom based program will look at strategies to maximize the effectiveness of your personnel by increasing fire ground efficiencies, implementing administrative controls, using innovative and technological  advancements.

Lead Instructor:  Pete Reid
Pete is a Captain with the Bluffton Township (SC) Fire District. He previously served as a Fire Lieutenant and Paramedic with the Hilton Head Island (SC) Fire and Rescue Department. He is also a practicing attorney admitted to the South Carolina Bar and Registered to Practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Pete began his legal career in 2002 and his emergency service career in 2006. Pete is a graduate of the University of South Carolina and the University of New Hampshire School of Law. Pete is also an IFSAC Hazardous Materials Technician and Nationally Registered Paramedic. Pete has merged his fire and EMS knowledge with his legal knowledge to develop custom training programs for fire and EMS services, and has worked as a consultant for several fire and EMS agencies.
