Garden Apartment Fires – Ellisville MO

In urban and suburban areas, the garden apartment is often the most prevalent residential setting. Garden apartments often have common cock lofts and attics which serve as avenue for rapid fire spread. This program will review strategic objectives at garden apartment fires and address tactical operations for truck and engine companies.

The class will incorporate interactive discussion and simulation exercises. The program is appropriate firefighters to chief officers!

The Lead Instructor: Shane Darwick
Shane recently retired as a career Battalion Chief with Montgomery County Fire Rescue Service in Maryland. He has been involved in the fire service for over 37 years. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Fire Science from Columbia Southern University and is a NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist. Shane serves as an Instructor at Montgomery County Maryland Public Service Training Academy and is a state certified Instructor and Instructor Evaluator. He is a a Command Competencies evaluator and served on the National Capital Region Incident Management Team.
